Time Timer App Reviews

Landscape mode not fixed aftermonths

bad service

Its a timer, not more, not less

The app does what its supposed to do: providing multiple timers. And it does that pretty good. However, there are two annoying things about it. 1) The price of 2,99 Euro is a sass. 2) The UI design is pretty much old-school. Optimization for iOS 8 and iPhone 6 should become a matter.

Retina display?

Come on guys! Just update the graphics for the retina display... You ask for money... Work on the updates!

Life Saver!

Ive used this app for a long time- its extremely useful for children with special needs who have difficulty with the concepts of "wait" "later" and "in a while"…I use this app at least 2-5 times a day with my clients, its really invaluable for early interventionists. I can think of many instances where I or a child would have ended up physically injured if it werent for the availability of this timer on my phone! However I kind of feel like in revising the app to take into consideration the feedback theyve been receiving- they went a bit to fancy. Someone didnt know when to say "stop." I like that you can now save multiple timers, in different modes, and in different colours- thats pretty cool. I like that theye gotten rid of the insanely long intro screen, and have started to support multi-tasking. Multiple timers at once is awesome- I can set a timer for the entire time were at school, and then for each segment during that time. Great for field trips too where its going to be somewhat unpredictable. Multi-tasking is finally supported and is extremely useful. However- they took away the full screen mode when you put the phone in landscape! AGH!! Now I have kids wanting to press buttons they didnt even know existed! NO! I cant just set down my phone in landscape mode and help them do the task anymore- theyre aware of all the options and home button and that they can see all the others timers running. I want my landscape mode back!! You people do understand that these timers are used for kids that are highly distractible, right? So I still love this app, but significantly less without my landscape mode. Its resulted in more fights than anything, and the kids dont understand. If you just leave the app the way it is now and bring back landscape mode I will be a happy camper!

Love it!

I rarely write reviews, and this app didnt even ask me to write one. I love this app. Have used it for a long time for work and with my kids. The quick start timer is fantastic, and having up to 4 timers at once allows to have different phases for a task, or handle timers for various things at a time. I also miss the full screen landscape mode, though. Please bring it back!!

Great app.

This is the only and best app that I was searching for! I like this plain app, but want this to be updated for iOS4. Cause visual vividness is the most important point of this app.

Make the Apple Watch app please

Awesome app through awesome system but really needs to have the Apple Watch app to make the system complete.

It really would be great if....

Although it will display the timer in landscape mode, you cant start or pause it. Instead, you must return the phone to portrait view. Nor will it display properly when you flip the phone upside down in portrait view. Both of those orientation issues are a bummer since the charging cable plugs into the bottom of the phone, preventing the phone from being positioned on a stand while plugged in and in operation. So close to perfection, but.... Its the easily resolved, yet missing features that earn this app a low rating.

No Sound

Whats the point of timer with no alarm?

Really? No Apple Watch?

I love this app. I actually used to own Time Timers own watch, but it was garbage. An Apple Watch extension seems like a no-brainer.

Great for teachers and massage therapists!

I have used Time Timer physical clocks for years in my classrooms and while doing chair massages at events. I can track how much time is left in an activity from far away with a quick glance. Now I will be able to set my phone where others can see how much time is left until their turn in the massage chair. No disturbing noises and no interrupting the person receiving a massage. I suspect the lack of rotational ability will be a hassle as previously noted above.

Wonderfully Effective

I have a three kitchen timers and I have tended to lose them or misplace them. All of them have dull gray LCDs and none of them gives the bright, bold visual cues that TimeTimer App does on my first gen iPhone. Seeing the time change in a visually quantified way is a different thing altogether than looking at numbers for me. As a person with AD/HD keeping myself on time and keeping track of the passing of time is a critical issue. Given that the software version is $25, and the clock and watch versions are $30 and up, this $4.99 app is the least expensive way to get this very very smart and helpful little timer. It doesnt do any fancy tricks and people have gotten used to apps costing nothing or $0.99 But the least expensive of my kitchen timers was $15 and I WAY prefer TimeTimer! I think its terrific. If I could change it, Id use the touch screen to scroll-in the time amount rather than the somewhat cumbersome "SET" screen. But that is trivial compared to the functionality.

Great for kids!

A teacher recommended Time Timer to us. We use it at home for our daughters morning and bedtime routines. We love it because she is able to see time elapse and therefore manage her time better. Im impressed with how these guys have managed to take something as abstract as time and make it concrete so that a child can follow. Nice job!

Would love to see more

I would love the ability to design and save/store a multistep timer. It could offer the option of color coded intervals or it could just have marked the intervals marked. This would be ideal for multiple-step events that take place daily. I would also then love for the ability to add pictures to the multistep events.

Disappointing

This product lacks flexibility, has a confusing user interface to set timers and costs quite a bit of money for so little. If you need a product that shows a countdown of time in a highly visualized fashion that provides marginal value over the built-in timer, this is your product.

Temporary Rating

Its the First Day. I expected more. I contacted Daytimer and learned they had a last-minute issue with the Calender. Right now its useless to me; but I expect my next rating will be 5 Stars. WAITING FOR THEIR FIRST UPGRADE!

Love it at home and work.

It is an incredibly useful tool. I not only use it with my kids, but at work as well.

Alarm doesnt sound outside application

I am disappointed to learn (after I bought it) that this timers alarm doesnt sound outside the application. Hopefully an update will come out soon and rectify this problem!

Good, but...

I agree with others. This is exactly what Time Timer does so well...but given the touch screen interface, we should be able to set the timer by dragging our finger across the clock face. And the app was really expensive! (but so are Time Timers...)

Doesnt scale correctly when flipped

For such an expensive and simple app, it doesnt even work correctly when viewed in landscape mode. It zooms in so half the countdown clock is missing on the iPad. And this thing should be a universal app, instead they try to soak you for another $6.99 for the iPad version. Give me a break!
