I love this timer!! I use it every morning with my Miracle Morning routine. Many of the tasks I do, I use a 2 minute timer. I read a book of interest, I recite affirmations, I look at my vision board, I meditate, and I write three things I’m grateful for in a journal. If I spill over a bit, more than 2 minutes, also fine, but 2 minutes means I can stick to a habit. This free timer is easy to reset or store any length of times you want to program. I like the visual design too, bold red. It’s on my Home Screen, where I keep my most used apps. Also great for timing quick cleanups! Use for your children to motivate too. Time is our friend, use it with care. PS The developer thanked me for my stellar review saying “Let us know if you need anything in the future.” Well…How about a Time Travel App? If you get started now I will be using it in about, three….two…one…
Bought a physical timer. It’s great. Came with a 1 year subscription (boooooo subscriptions) to their mobile and desktop app. Yeah, these apps aren’t intuitive at all. Like, I’m not sure who designed these, but they are very poorly designed. Also, my iPhone and Mac app both kept freezing. Then I had to force close them. Over and over. Using an M1 Mac and iPhone 15 Pro, so I know it’s not my devices being old and slow. Turned off the sync between devices. Issue persists. So yeah, this app, that should be very simple and user friendly, is actually very not user friendly and is unreliable as it constantly crashes. Glad the 1 year sub was free with my timer. But also… y’all should be embarrassed charging a subscription for this product. Especially if the app doesn’t work and freezes. Pretty ridiculous. It’s a TIMER app. How was this executed so poorly? Maybe stick to your physical timers and leave app development to app developers. Edit: Updated app to latest version as developer requested. Opened app. App completely froze within 15 seconds of using it. Completely unusable app. I’m glad I didn’t pay anything for this.
I set up a simple test: 1 minute repeat timer, 10 times. I then locked my phone and started the timer on my watch. The following occurred randomly: Single beep at the one minute mark, difficult to hear and easy to miss. No beep at all. Four beeps, but not at the one minute mark! No notifications at all. A notification at the minute mark that had to be dismissed. Naturally, this is very unreliable and unusable for any practical task. Giving one star because this should’ve been easily caught during testing.
Wasting my time!
I have adhd and autism and task switching is really hard for me. I’d use alarms before, but they were always too abrupt cause I have no sense of time. I never felt ready to switch tasks when they went off. Now I just set up my phone next to me and have the timer up so I can see it while I’m doing something. Being able to see the time on a visual format helps me process that time is passing and I can get better at wrapping up what I’m doing so I’m ready to move on to something else.
This timer has increased my activity. Very grateful. Cheers!
The app doesn’t make a sound or vibrate on my watch. Useless.
This app used to be a great, full-featured, free resource for the neurodivergent community. Unfortunately, some features are now locked behind a subscription-based paywall. Since this subscription model was recently introduced, I feel it might be time to find an alternative, as I can't justify paying for yet another subscription. Subscriptions make sense for apps that are multi-functional and vital for managing various aspects of life. However, for apps that perform only one or two functions at most, a one-time lifetime payment would be more reasonable, provided that the pricing is competitive and not based on the developers' unrealistic expectations. Let's be honest, "lifetime" in technology nowadays usually means the duration of the software's support, depending on how long developers choose to maintain it or whether the company closes down, as seen with many SaaS companies. Additionally, I feel like a key feature for widgets is missing, which is essential for visualizing time. So please consider either providing more features and functions to justify a subscription or introducing a realistically priced lifetime license.
This is a great tool to keep track of time while focusing on tasks. I love that I can customize time and color of the disk, as well as have an audible or vibrating alert. I color coordinate my disk to the task I’m working on.
This is fantastic. Really helps me with working out and working the grill.
It’s so fun
I have been using the Time Timer app on my iPhone and Apple Watch for a few years now without many issues. But lately, my watch does not beep or vibrate when the timer finishes even though background app refresh is turned on. I have tried restarting the app and double-checking my settings, but it doesn’t fix the problem. I am currently using an Apple Watch Series 8 and an iPhone 15. Both are running the latest OS version.
I use it everyday it helps me because I have dyscalculia a math disability thank soooooo much
I love the IDEA of this timer!! HOWEVER, my brain can’t get used to the format of how it’s set up. It seems inverted from what a real clock looks like, and I can’t get used to how it looks, or how the time decreases backwards. I wish I could use it, but it’s not for me!
I love the simplicity of this app. But I need it to light up and ring, loudly, every time. But the audio ringer is very unreliable. If I get a phone call or text messages or the app is not open on my screen, the ringer invariably fails to go off. This is supper frustrating as I really need to be focused on my work and then have the ringer go off. Please fix this. It can’t be sometimes working sometimes not.
Update- messaged the developer & received a timely helpful response July 2024- use on iPad Pro 12.9 & iPhone 12 Pro Max. Helpful to read the 7 ‘Operation & How-to’s’ articles on their support webpage. Happy timing to ya :)
It is one of the most important things for me with Pomodoro timers. I NEED to hear time ticking to get pressured to work and no to get distracted additionally by looking every few minutes how much more I have to finish the task or until the time expires. No idea why is this so hard to add as an feature. Other than what I underlined and what is a deal breaker for me, app looks good and is simple to use.
Needs support for shortcuts and lock screen.
Please consider making your app Widget friendly. I love using it, but when I went to add it as a widget, it wasn't compatible.
Good but didn’t have many timer choices. Would use apple instead but it gets the job done
Nice app, but does not remember the “do not fall asleep” setting between sessions. Also occasionally resets the display settings to dark.
The sound alerts on this app are unreliable. Sometimes the app makes no sound. Sometimes it stops after 4 beeps despite having the continuous alert function activated. And no, the silent mode on my phone is not turned on. An unreliable timer is worse than no timer. Deleting this app.
Thank you very much!
Did somebody buy the rights for this app? I went years without an update; now there’s an update every week. That I’ve gone years with this thing speaks volumes. It’s like a stern piano teacher; never letting you off the hook until your time’s up. Maybe getting a little too complicated. As I understand, the original was built from a mechanical egg timer —you twist the knob; it starts counting down. (I still have one) It was that simplicity that made it so entertaining. Five stars down to four only for that. I use this every day as a weapon against my ADD. Don’t overkill it
Great help in Organizing myself. Awfully helpful during meetings of all sorts. Especially like being able to see it while working on other things on my laptop etc.
Nice GUI after update. But the sound alarm stopped working completely on the new version.
Great
Set timer for a twenty minute nap and it never went off. I get no audible alarm at all.
I love time timer it helps you see how much time is left and has a ringer
It works pretty good just using it for 5 minutes and already asked if I "love it". I've not explored enough to find out
Super glad I found this app!
Does not dothe one thing I downloaded it for.
Just a great easy to use timer - Can set multiple timers - Works great on Apple Watch and iPhone Many Thanks to the developers!!
Please. And please make the timer stay on my watch face until completed. I have ADHD. Out of sight out of mind. I can’t hunt for the timer to see how much time is left and I don’t want to open my phone or I will lose focus. Ugh! Please help. This has so much needed potential!!
Looks like a fine timer in and of itself, but somehow I was dense enough to think it was supposed to be the control for the VERY manual timer I bought. Don’t need a duplicate when I can use the one already on my phone. Should’ve checked more thoroughly for a Bluetooth connection before buying.
I can see where this app can be helpful. Unfortunately I’m unable to get this app to notify me without beeping, need it to vibrate only but even if I select vibrate and turn off the alarm portion. Either it’s just the alarm that goes off or nothing at all. Would definitely give this app another try if that was addressed
Very clear and exact, makes timing easier.
Ive got severe ADHD and one of the biggest annoyances of it is time blindness. Basically it means there is no internal awareness of time - just now and not now. As a result one needs an external (ie outside of one’s self) visual animated prompt to show decreasing time. Countdown timers where the aesthetic changes like a living pie chart is best but most are 59min max so useless for a 90min burst or 2hrs etc. The key is keeping “time remaining” front of mind when you’re engaged in a task. This seems to work. I’ve literally tried dozens and they all try to do too much or “jazz” things up. It’s the simplicity and visual minimalism that gives it the power to be effective. I’m so so so glad to have found this. It’s now on my home screen.
Just downloaded and will try, by why is it visually flipped from a clock? Odd that 5 is to left of 0 and 55 is to right. Will take some getting used to
Just opened my Time Timer that was gifted to me by a parent for my classroom. Just finished familiarizing myself with it and love, love it!!! I had been using my iPhone for the past 2 years but love the idea of it being magnetic and being able to be visually available for my students. It was a great recommendation from a teacher. Looking forward to using it this next school year!!!
Big improvement!
To be able to have multiple alarms set is so great! Thank you for an amazing app!
Just installed and it seems really clean and efficient. Love that it syncs with Watch, but dark mode support on the edit timers screen would be appreciated
Thank you so much for not being like others and forcing a subscription! I loooove this, and this app moved me to buy one of your physical clocks as well. Thank you so much!
The app works great. When I found out I could use it on my apple watch I haven't stopped using it. The only problem I have with it is that the UI can get wonky at times.
The app only plays the sound if the screen is not locked. Also, the numeric display of the count of plays on the settings screen disappears after pressing the + button. Would give five stars if if played sound or had option to when locked.
Wish their was a widget for my Home Screen.
I don’t usually leave reviews but I’ve been struggling with ADHD and completing simple things at work. I’ve been watching videos, and many people have suggested using a visual timer. I was really excited to see there was an app that looked similar to the physical timer. I have this set up on my desk using my iPad. This works most of the time but frustrates me more than it should. The Good: - I love that there is a visual timer and it’s fairly easy to set The Bad: - When the timer is minimized or I switch apps, the sound, nor the vibrations go off - this app does not support split screen on the iPad - When I have my iPad set up (horizontally) on my desk, I cannot select a new timer in full screen. I have to get out of full screen and then select a timer. - A lot of times, when positioned horizontally, it will not allow the timer to go into full screen Overall, it is not bad, but it could definitely use some work
Vibration and sounds are on, but this app doesn’t notify me when my time is up. I can’t work while keeping my eyes glued to the timer. And sometimes numbers appear around the dial, other times they don’t. This is buggy and needs to be fixed. Don’t waste your time with it.
